Early September brings Jack's birthday and this year he turned nine.

We had a mini celebration on his birthday proper.

Then we had a small party with family.

A few days later school started.  Fourth grade!

How Jack felt about going back to school.

Look who reached the official height to no longer need a booster seat.

We went apple picking, of course.

And whenever there are apples to be picked, 

it seems cider donuts soon follow.
