Jack was a rebel today. First, I found him awake from his nap completely unswaddled. Later, I put him on his tummy so he could work those neck and shoulder muscles and he promptly fell asleep (but then I got to trim his fingernails while he slept...muahahaha).
In other sleep news, we transitioned Jack to sleeping on his bed at night on Monday and it has been going well so far! He will generally sleep from 6-8 hours (mostly six), eat, and then sleep another 2-3 hours at this point, which is fine by me.
That is a pretty good sleep schedule! Isn't trimming fingernails the worst? And it only seems to gets harder. Why don't people talk about this?

Fingernail trimming is definitely the worst! My main motivation to cut them is so he doesn't scratch up his face and inevitably after every time I cut them, he gives himself a few nice gashes. Maybe I should just let them grow..
DeleteYou can't win. Freshly cut = nice and sharp, long = nice and clawlike. Do you use nail clippers or scissors? Someone told me she bit them off her babies. I think it was my MIL. Pretty gross!

I use clippers. I should try and file them too, but usually I am just so happy to have successfully trimmed them the thought of filing is unpleasant.
DeleteA woman in the mom group I go to said she bites her baby's nails! I tried to not look horrified even after she quickly added she only does it right after bath time. Yuck.
