A couple weeks back Jack (with a little help from Mom) got me this sweet tee shirt for my birthday..
Later that weekend Jack and I went to Beverly hospital to "Daddy Boot Camp." I took this class about two months before Jack was born and after you take the class, they ask you to participate after your child is three months old to "show the ropes" aka - changing poopy diapers etc. to other expectant dads. It was a lot of fun and in general Jack kept a reasonable level of crankiness throughout the whole class. I feel very lucky that Jack is a healthy baby and does not have digestive issues that require him to drink prune juice to help out his stomach as witnessed by all the dad's during a complete diaper explosion by one of the other babies during the class. It required the help of three dads and a box of wipes to clean. We also got this sweet tee shirt...
The following Friday was very surreal. Of course unless you were living under a rock, the entire world was shook by the incident in Newtown. Frankly I was very emotional every time I saw the news and had no idea what to think of the situation. It was pretty fantastic to have this little guy to hug and hold tight. Jack smiled and giggled the whole weekend.
Thanks for making these past few weekends awesome Jack
Love,
Dad
