Halloween

A belated Halloween post.  Instead of carving a pumpkin, we decided to use some Potato Head pieces in an effort to have Jack involved a bit more in the process.

I have at least four Potato Heads worth of pieces,
so we grouped them together by type and let Jack pick his favorite.

Jack supervising.

The (almost) completed project.
Jack lasted about five seconds before he started taking the pieces off.

Overall Jack seemed to enjoy Halloween.  Since it fell on a day he goes to daycare, he got to wear his costume there and they did a bit of trick or treating within the center, so he came home with a little bag of goodies.  And he really enjoyed seeing kids in costumes come to the door at home that night.  Next year maybe we will take him around the neighborhood for trick or treat.

  2. What a great idea for decorating a pumpkin. The monster costumes are great. Costumes are more fun with other people, and having all the kids in costume at day care must have been a blast. Thanks for the pics!

  3. I thought it couldn't get any better than the Mr. Pumpkin Head, and then came the monster costumes! Those are great.
